A socket listener that can perform the functions of a program is called a dedicate server. This is the technical definition of a dedicated server in networking lingo. In the general computer science language a dedicated server is a program which can by itself cater to many hosts. In simple words a dedicated hosting means a server for your own use and for none other. The world is moving at a fast pace and speed is the name of the game. How many hours have we spent on the internet waiting for the page to load? Dedicated hosting puts an end to all this. The website will work faster and in a much more efficient way because the web address does not have to share its space with none other. A server which has more grips on it, a server which makes its use comfortable, a server which can be customized to your choice is called a dedicated hosting. The hosting of this server is called dedicated server hosting. The industry standard for hosting a server is leased on one year in general. These dedicated hosting can be obtained from server vendors. They offer a number of services when it comes to dedicated hosting. The question here is why I should buy something for a purpose which I can perform with a normal server. The answer to this question can be answered by one more question. Why should you get your trousers stitched by a tailor instead of buying something from the store? It's the fact that it is more personalized, more comfortable and makes it easy to use. The same concept can be applied to dedicated hosting. It gives the web developer a freedom to show his creativity without it being too much of a load on the server. It also makes the customers feel comfortable with using the server. A normal server may be shared between four or five companies. This increases the load of the server and hence more waiting time for the customers. Dedicated hosting puts an end to all this. It reduces the waiting time greatly and it makes the website more users friendly. Also maintaining and taking care of the server becomes easier when you use a dedicated server. People generally do not have the exact number of users who will visit their website on a given day. They just buy a normal server and host their website on it. Suppose the website gets more hits than expected, it will be a big problem to the users because of the increased waiting time. In some cases the server might hang and leave the users wondering. To avoid the problems people have started using dedicated hosting. These servers can be customized and maintained according to the needs of the company and in terms of heavy rush these servers are equipped to handle the load. This is the reason why dedicated hosting are becoming very popular.

Beat Web Domain Registration
Putting up a website is the first and foremost requirement for someone who is going to start an online business. However, there is a lot more to the creation and management of a website than one often believes. The first step is obviously to decide on a name for the website. This is alternatively called the URL or domain name. It is the part that follows the 'www'on the browser search bar. Generally, people use simple names but there are several websites which have catchy phrases as their domain name. This draws immediate attention and most often suits the purpose. All in all, the idea is set a unique name so that your website is not overshadowed by others with similar names. The next step is to check the availability of the chosen website name. A Domain Name Registrar looks into various aspects like website registration, reporting and tracking of website names across the net. Previously, there was a sole domain name registrar company for the entire web world. However, with a huge volume of internet usage nowadays, the number of such companies has also risen. A search for 'domain name registrar' on your engine provides a list of domain name registrars and simplifies your search for a suitable company. In fact, a wide range of companies offer free website domain registration. Then, one needs to decide on a domain hosting company. Hosting companies are armed with several computers (servers) and high speed internet connectivity. They officially host your website (give you working space on their server) in lieu of a monthly remuneration for their services. One may be ambitious enough to host their website on their own computer. There is nothing wrong with it except for the fact that any commercial website demands extremely reliable net connectivity. Also, a certain degree of competency is required to ensure the server's configuration in regard to handling different types of programs that are needed to host your web pages. The last step is to design the webpage itself. It is not that difficult but then, when it is your business at stake, why take the risk? One can readily hire a professional web designing firm that specializes in this field and makes sure your web pages are customized to your business needs and personal taste. From processing the overall theme to creating codes for the pages of your web domain, web design firms have carved out a niche of their own. If you feel a pinch in your pocket, you are free to buy a template (pre-packaged website). Once you have successfully started up your own website, publicity is equally important so one must make sure that his company's products and services can be found by prevailing search engines. This allows clients to interact with you and hence, provides a ready base for your business to prosper. With free website registration and free domain hosting, it has never been easier to start up your business online. The time has come for you to be your own boss!..
Website Domain Names Importance
We all have heard about web hosting services and domain names. However, many people do not want to buy a domain name as they feel it is not really important. We all know that a website can be successful with the help of appropriate SEO techniques. However, a domain name is also equally important. Domain name is actually a unique name for your website. It is very beneficial for the online businesses, online customers and webmasters. There are many advantages associated with domain names. The first advantage associated with it is that it allows a person to change the ISP or web host very easily. There is no need to change the name in this case. Sometimes the webmasters find a better web host and want to transfer it. But, changing the name every time is not possible. However, the websites or online businesses who own a domain name do not require changing the name for these kinds of operations. This means that the domain names are portable in nature and you can make any kind of changes to your website without changing its name. If your website or business has a unique name then there are chances that your business will increase faster as more number of customers will visit your website and avail the services or buy the products offered. Unique website names are remembered very easily and the users or customers can have an easy access to your website if they remember the domain name. This is a great advantage for the webmasters as well as the customers as it will save a lot of time and they will not have to search for the website all over again. Unique Website names offer benefits like easy search engine submission, portability, identity, image and credibility. It also increases the business due to easy access and your customers will not get diverted to other websites. There are many websites that offer web hosting and domain name services. You can get the name of your choice at affordable prices. However, you need to do a little research before finding the right kind of service. Always choose an easy name so that the customer can remember it easily. Long and confusing names can be a disadvantage for your online business. There are many websites that provide services like free website creation. However, they promote their own advertisements on your website to recover the price of the service. Some of the search engines reject the free websites which can create problems in ranking and business promotions. Thus, this was some essential information about website names and the benefits associated with it........
The Best Optimized Domain Name
Choosing the domain name for your online business is one of the most important decisions you need to make to create your online presence. It is exactly as important as choosing the name for their new born baby from the new parents. Both of these require high considerations because the domain name as well as your baby's name will reside with you and your kids for the rest of their lives. With that being said, here are some important tips which should be considered before any domain name is selected.
• Choosing Your Domain Extension -
A domain extension is the suffix of your website address such as.com,.net,.ca and many more. Most web users are familiar with.com where it is used by default most of the time. Thus, your first preference should be to go with a.com extension as much as possible.
At the same time, if you wish to better server the local community in that particular country, then getting yourself a country specific domain name makes a lot of sense because it helps to bring you nearer to the local community having known that you are a local company instead of a foreign company. On top of that, search engines will grant you with a higher ranking in the search results if there are any web-users performing search specifically for their local search.
• Choosing the right keywords for your website -
Including specific keywords in your website's address will definitely help in your ranking in search engines prioritization. It is best to put yourself in your customers' shoes and choose a keyword which the majority of your customers will use when searching for your business over the internet. Anyone whom are serious about generating more traffic for your online business will surely acquire the best optimized keyword and have it added into their domain name.
• Hyphens? -
Given that it is getting more and more difficult to get the website address or domain names that you prefer due to the massive increase in online businesses today. In order to mitigate this issue, new registrants are encouraged to use hyphens between your chosen website wordings, such as lovely-florist-for-you.com instead of lovelyflorsitforyou because the former looks more appealing and also less confusing as compared to the latter. Other advantages include having the search engines to easily distinguish the separated keywords to facilitate in their search by having your website appearing in the first page of their search results.
• Keep your domain name short -
Remember the rule of thumb when it comes to domain name - shorter is better, however it should be long enough to contain the keyword or the clear description of your business in order to help your customers in remembering them better.
• Don't use abbreviation in your domain name -
Try your best to avoid having these wordings in your domain name as much as possible, such as 2 for "two", 4 for "for", or u for "you". These types of domain names create a problem when your clients get your website names verbally over the phone. It is by default that most of your clients will assume that "two, four and you are used instead of 2, 4 or u. If it has not being specify out-front that some of these abbreviations are used as one's website names, you might potentially loss out a large number of customers if they search for your website but cannot find them after some effort.
Domain Names
The internet is growing at an exponential rate. It is getting more crowed by the day. If you are planning on starting an online business then odds are that you are going to have trouble obtaining a domain name for your business concern.
When the internet started site names (that's what a site name's called) were abundant and free. Then people woke up to the idea of using the internet to do business and all the good URLs got taken. There were still quite a few good URLs up for grabs, but now getting a domain name that pertains to your business is rather difficult. For example if your business provides locksmith services, then you are definitely not going to get a domain name like 'locksmiths.com' or 'thebestlocksmiths.com'. This does not mean you cannot get a good domain name for your business.
I will come back to choosing a domain name later in the article; but first, a little on the importance of site names. Now-a-days the first stop for most people trying to locate anything on the internet is a search engine. For example if a person is looking for exercise clothing and don't know where to go, then they are going to go to a search engine and enter phrases like 'cheap gym clothes'. The search engine will then come up with the relevant results and display them. The person looking at the results will then look at the sites and decide on which one to visit. So if you have a domain name like 'gymclothes4u.com' or something like that then the chances that your site is visited are much greater.
So choosing the right domain will help you get traffic to your site. That brings us back to choosing a domain name. So how do you choose a domain name that's relevant, concise and isn't taken already? Worry not; there are a couple of tricks you can use. Firstly you need to be creative with your domain name. I don't mean getting carried away and naming your site something like BigBubba.com. Your domain name should give an idea of the services or products you provide. Use hyphens if needed. The hyphens are viewed as blanks by search engines so they won't affect the results. Most domain registrar's have a feature that allows you to check whether the name is already taken. There is also the possibility that the name you are looking for is already registered. In such cases you can contact the the owner and offer to buy the domain. This is known as Domain Scalping.
Once you have decided on the name, bought and registered it then it's time to setup your site. Hope you have found this article informative and helpful.
How To Register A Domain Name And Host Your Website
How to register a domain name and host your website is the first thing that you should learn when committing to an online business or forum. It is also one of the simplest-until you start to examine the options. There are a score of web host companies out there vying for your business and each one of them will tell you what you want to hear, but what do the ones that actually deliver look like? In order to know how to register a domain name and host your website in a way that actually benefits you, it is important to start with the features that you absolutely must have.
First, look at the maintenance and safety record of the potential host. Ask the owners for statistics regarding up time. Talk to some of the site owners who operate under their banner, and make sure that you have a legitimately unbiased opinion before moving on to the next step.
Secondly, find out what security measures the provider takes on a daily basis to keep out malicious spyware, trojans, worms, and viruses. There are a lot of predators online, and each one can set your site back weeks in both functionality and traffic. Before you concede these all important features, make sure that your host is in business to keep you safe.
Thirdly, decide what type of server you need for your business. Larger organizations typically choose dedicated servers. Although these cost more, they also offer a more hands free approach to maintenance updates, security and uptime. If you have a smaller venture, however, this may not be feasible. In that case opt for a shared host. You can still get a high level of commitment when it comes to keeping the site running effectively. You just may have to share the help with some of the other sites on their list.
Fourthly, know your limits. Each hosting company promises a certain degree of functionality. It is up to you to decide what you need. Some hosts give you unlimited file transfer and data storage while others will let you pay for only what you need. Budget is an important part of picking out the right plan. And that brings you to the last step for how to register a domain name and host your website:
Do it! Comparing the rates out there against the features that your site needs to operate at maximum efficiency comes down to this simple step. Use the host's search functions to see if your name is available, and once you've decided it is, use the checkout system. Paying by credit or debit is often a secure way to gain instant access, so you can start your online venture today.
Is It Worth Registering? :Your Domain Name
Provided the name you want is still available there is absolutely no doubt that you should register it. The last few years have been nothing less than a land-grab for virtual real estate and domain names have become valuable business assets.
As the Internet has grown in both size and significance many businesses have gained advantage by maintaining a Web presence. The ability to manage the nature of that presence is critical and a major factor is maintaining control of your name.
In fact, many entrepreneurs have registered multiple domains for various businesses and business ideas that have not yet been implemented. For a few dollars a year they are reserving an appropriate label that can be used if they decide to start a particular business. Alternatively, many have realized a return on their investment simply by selling the domain name to someone else.
Obviously, there are numerous advantages in the ability to promote your business using a Website. But in addition to a Website, it is also possible to set up an email address on your domain name, which avoids the necessity of using free or generic email addresses.
While these free email accounts are widely used they are often filtered by spam programs and corporate email servers because they have become associated with junk mail. Emails that are blocked or unopened are useless and can adversely affect businesses that send them.
Consequently, a Website and domain-based email have become vital indicators of a permanent Web presence and a demonstration of modern business credentials.
It is easier to be found on the internet and more intuitive for your potential visitors if your domain name reflects the name of your business so start taking control of your online presence by registering your domain name.

Webhosting UK Discontinues FrontPage on Unix Platform...........
Dear Valued Customers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
During our routine performance checks on the Linux shared servers, it has been found that FrontPage extensions is a very potent threat to the security and integrity of a server functioning on the Unix platform (all flavours). Our security configurations and monitoring system have shown us that there were a number of attempts to break into our servers using this path, which is evidence for it being very vulnerable and weak. We do not trust FrontPage to be secure and safe to be run on Unix Shared Server Environment.
Web Hosting UK does recognise the fact that FrontPage is the preferred publishing tool of a significant chunk of clients who would rather not use the FTP mode of publishing. However, in the light of the fact that FrontPage is a big security vulnerability sitting to be exploited, we are unwilling to continue supporting it. In case, there is a big, concentrated attempt of intruding into a server or network, things would get out of hand as there is no sure-shot way of dealing with them.
Moreover, Microsoft themselves have ceased to support FrontPage extensions on all Unix servers. Incumbent to all these factors, WebhostingUK will not support FP extensions on its linux shared hosting services anymore with immediate effect i.e. starting from 04th June 2008. FrontPage can be used with our windows hosting solutions. Customers who cannot live without FrontPage will have to move to one of our windows servers. A new cPanel server loaded with CentOS 5.x will be setup shortly where we would be allowing FrontPage extensions. In this case however, WebhostingUK would not be assuming any responsibility of the security and integrity of the data and files stored. Customers would have to maintain a daily backup themselves. The support team has integrated multiple security measures and patches to try and keep the server safe.
WebhostingUK Technical Support should be contacted in case you wish to move to one of our windows servers. We know that this wont be considered to be a a very popular decison at this time. But keeping in mind the larger picture, this was imperative. We are sure that customers will like this step in the days to come......////////////

Bodhost introduces Guaranteed 100% Uptime Fail-Over VPS Web Hosting
Bodhost has launched a redundant VPS Hosting Service with 100 % uptime guarantee
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 05, 2008 — Bodhost.com, a renowned Dedicated Server Hosting and Virtual Private Servers provider announced the launch of its new VPS Hosting offering “Guaranteed 100% Uptime Fail-Over VPS Hosting!”. The Fail-over VPS plan is a fully managed solution which combines the flexibility of Virtual Hosting with the luxury of 100% uptime guarantee at the most economical price.
This 100% Uptime guarantee VPS hosting is primarily aimed at corporate customers who need high uptime solution of a dedicated server mirroring setup but without the high costs usually associated with these setups. The fully managed VPS features 2 GB RAM, 60 GB disk space and 800 GB data transfer per month.
The company says it’s technical team has carried out in-depth research and development work to come up with a viable solution thereby making sure that their customers receive the most reliable VPS hosting service.
Each Fail-over VPS is created on two servers, a primary server and a secondary server which is setup on a separate part of the network. Data is continuously synchronized between the primary VPS and the secondary VPS to ensure that the secondary VPS is constantly updated with the latest files/configuration as the primary VPS. The secondary VPS is basically an identical copy of the server the primary VPS is setup on. If for some reason the primary server goes down, IPs would automatically be assigned to the secondary server which would allow a VPS to carry on functioning, without exposing it to any downtime.
Mark Philips, Chief Marketing Officer, Bodhost says “Over the years our clients have frequently asked for a VPS Hosting solution with some form of redundancy.”
He states further, “We were very conscious about creating a solution which is completely redundant but cost effective at the same time. With these views in mind, we set about creating a redundant Virtual Private Server solution. After many attempts, our technicians finally came up with a viable solution.”
About Bodhost :
Bodhost is a quality U.S. web hosting company incorporated in San Jose, CA. The company’s VPS Hosting and Dedicated Servers range is backed by superior network connectivity, branded server hardware, 24x 7 technical support (Email, Live Chat and Phone) and round the clock server monitoring.
web hosting uk 100% uptime on Cloud VPS
Hello All
This thread is designed to address the concerns a few customers have in relation to our Cloud VPS products.
There have been a few complaints in regards to "downtime" on a Cloud VPS. All of these complaints share the same cause, which is the customer's VPS attempting to use more resources than has been allocated.
As an example, please view the below specs of our VMware STARTER, which are displayed on our website:
CPU 800 Mhz
Hard Drive Space 25 GB
Monthly Bandwidth 600 GB
Guaranteed RAM 512 MB
As you can see, just like a PHYSICAL server, there are hardware limits. You can not use more than that has been allocated.
Perhaps some confusion has come from those customers who are used to a Virtuozzo VPS. On a Virtuozzo VPS the hardware Node will allow you to use "burstable" resources when they are available on the server. This is often a result of another customer not using their full entitlement. On a Cloud VPS, you have your allocation and you are limited to it.
If your VPS attempts to use more than say 512 RAM, when you have the starter package, it is quite likely that your services will crash and you may therefore associate this with "downtime". Is it downtime? Quite simply, no. You physically can not use more than you have. This is especially true for those customers using the Windows platform.
If a customer needs more resources, they will need to upgrade to a higher plan. I paste below the specifications of our VMware BUSINESS and VMware ENTERPRISE:
VMware BUSINESS
CPU 1.5 Ghz
HDD 45 GB
Bandwidth 800 GB
RAM 1 GB
VMware ENTERPRISE
CPU 2.2 Ghz
HDD 65 GB
Bandwidth 1000 GB
RAM 2 GB
As you can see, they each have different resource allocations. If a customer needs more resources, an upgrade will be needed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I will be quite happy to address any questions you have.

What Does Unlimited Mean To Your Web Hosting Company?
You’ve no doubt seen the advertisements from a web hosting company, touting “unlimited” web space, bandwidth and domains, and thought to yourself, “Wow, that sounds too good to be true!” Guess what – you’re just about right, but with several exceptions and a few tweaks in semantics. It is not quite an out and out lie, but you need to know what the terms mean in practical application before you can plan your hosting. Let’s see just what that is.
Unlimited web hosting is a relatively recent arrival on the scene, as the capabilities of servers grew exponentially in the last few years. Back in the day, (just a few short years ago) you got a certain amount, which wasn’t much, and you had to live with it, or have a number of hosting accounts. Since the expansion of web space and the greater availability of bandwidth, competition among web hosts has become more intense, and offers of greater web storage space and data transfer (bandwidth) began to make their appearance. This didn’t cost them much, and it was a smart way to increase the bottom line without drastically affecting expenditures.
Also a nifty way to grab greater market share. It wasn’t long before most every web hosting company was doing it. So what exactly does this mean in real terms? Well, when you see an offer that advertises unlimited domains, this is very likely true, at least technically. You are constrained by the amount of web space you actually have (more on that in a minute) and most people will never come close to approaching the numbers it would take to raise any red flags here. In relation to web space, however, this is an entirely different plate of pasta.
Just remember: there is ALWAYS a limit. It just probably won’t be written down anywhere you can easily access. Hosting companies, who are in the business of selling just as many web hosting plans as they can, routinely oversell their servers, many employing this “unlimited” tactic to do so. They are betting (and usually winning these bets!) that the vast majority of clients will never come anywhere close to using a large amount of space, and thus it becomes a bridge they don’t normally have to cross. Occasionally a client will grow large, and then is usually found to be in violation of the terms of service (TOS) in one way or another. Many of these TOS docs are written in such a vague manner as to leave the definition of what constitutes “unlimited” entirely at the web hosts discretion, never mind Webster!
Then they are sold a “better” plan more suited to their needs. A similar scenario plays out when it comes to bandwidth. There is another aspect to this one though, and that is when you are on a shared server, and one of the sites has become a behemoth, and hogs most of the available bandwidth for that server. The others are left to scramble for the bits and pieces not allocated, and your site’s performance can suffer greatly. So the best you can really do is to look as closely as possible at the host’s terms of service, and try to decipher for yourself what they really mean. Failing to do so could leave you scrambling to keep your site visible and functional. Suffice it to say that the word “unlimited” as it relates to web hosting should be considered as a politician’s campaign promises: good as gold – as long as it serves their purposes!

Why Should You Go With Windows Web Hosting?
....................................................kuiiiol...........................Many times confusion arises when new webmasters are confronted with the question of whether they should choose Windows web hosting or Linux web hosting. First of all they do not know what each of these terms mean, and that makes it difficult to make a somewhat informed decision on which to choose. Let’s define both of them, and make it clear what each of them is best for, and what they are not.
First of all, you need to understand that the computer system you are running or are familiar with now has no bearing whatsoever on the type of web hosting plan you would choose. Simply because you use a Windows system, there is no real user correlation that you would recognize, so that is not a factor. You won’t find familiar menu to work from, for instance. Likewise, for Mac users, there is even less they would be familiar with, so again nothing to hang onto here. (More on Macs later.) A web hosting plan based on either Windows, or Linux runs on a completely different set of parameters, and has its own unique interface.
The basis for choosing which web hosting system, either Windows based or Linux, is based nearly entirely on the anticipated needs of your website. Let’s look more at what specifically is meant by this.
If your website will need to utilize specific Windows- based technologies and languages, like ASP, .NET, Access or MSSQL. These particular softwares would be more at home within a Windows-based environment, and that is why you would make that call. While Linux and other Unix-based systems can be configured to use these technologies, it’s just easier if they are run on a Windows system.
The flip side of the coin is that if your site is needing to run PHP, Perl, MYSQL, or any of a number of blogging platforms and shopping cart software, you will find that using a Linux system makes your life a great deal easier. Sometimes the actual code of some of the languages of these programs has to be altered to run on Windows hosting. It’s just easier all around to simply use a Linux hosting plan from the start.
Mac users can now find their own hosting for their OS Snow Leopard through the Mac OS X Server, powered by Apache. You will find that it meets all your needs in a way that neither of these PC versions would. That, however, is a subject for another day!
The bottom line for your choice needs to be based on your site needs, and nothing more. Make the correct determination, and you’ll be well hosted very soon!

Web Hosting Packages – 7 Vital Considerations When Choosing
There are many things one needs to consider when selecting web hosting packages, and many tend to gloss this over in the haste to get their site up and running. That would be, and often is, a big mistake! Very often problems that prove insurmountable could have been avoided with a little forethought and planning. Let’s look at 7 top items to think about when choosing web hosting packages.
1. Space and Bandwidth – How much room do you need? Do you need large capacity for databases and an ecommerce setup? Or other, more demanding requirements that will hog space and bandwidth? Better to have an idea of this up front, and have a plan for it. Don’t be seduced by promises of “unlimited” space and bandwidth, as there is always a limit.
2. What Type of Web Hosting? – Are you comfortable on a shared server, hosting with dozens or hundreds of other sites, many of whom may be doing who knows what on their sites? Be aware that shared space is often responsible for many of the problems clients have with their web hosting companies. Complaints range from spam or malware attacks, to getting the IP address banned and ruining everyone’s day, usually through no fault of your own. Decide whether to reside on shared, virtual private servers, or your own dedicated server.
3. Room for growth? – Is this a web hosting package you can grow with, in terms of domains and size? This will be important to you down the road. Consider it now.
4. Software – Does this hosting company have the necessary goods to host your sites? Do you have specific needs, either now or shortly down the road, that will need to be accommodated? Better to ask the questions, and see that if they don’t have certain programs, they intend to, and that you are able to install programs you may want to, within reason, of course.
5. Security – This is a big one. Knowing that your and your customer’s sensitive information and web hosting email is safe and secure is a major part of building trust and return customers. Having problems in this area will make your day go downhill fast!
6. Support – Having a great web hosting support team is one of the most important items you can have in a hosting plan. When you have issues, (and sometimes you will; it happens) it’s comforting to know that there are people on your side, working hard to resolve the problem. Shoot for phone support if at all possible; it saves time, and is far more comforting than email.
7. Pricing – The last of my considerations, as it is the least important. Suffice it to say that if the above aren’t taken care of, you will pay more in the long run anyhow. There is a lot of competition in the web hosting space; you won’t easily be taken advantage of in price.
Keep these 7 nuggets in mind when shopping for new web hosting packages, and you’ll soon be rewarded with a terrific new host you can live with for years!

Why Smart Marketers Use Dedicated Server Web Hosting
.............................web host pradip.....................................
Dedicated server web hosting is fast becoming the choice of savvy marketers and webmasters. The advantages of having a dedicated box are starting to far outweigh the outdated notion that dedicated server plans are only for the megasites, and are far too unwieldy and expensive for the average site.
While that may be true for your basic 10 page niche affiliate site, what of the webmaster that has a few hundred of them? That makes it an entirely different story! Let’s take a look at some of the more important ways that having a dedicated server web hosting plan can take your business to the next level.
Room to Grow! - If your site is outgrowing any of the shared plans or servers you may have been on previously, the amount of web space and bandwidth, as well as overall server efficiency you will experience with a dedicated server is beyond your comprehension. Whereas before a single space hog on the same server as yours could’ve brought things to a standstill, this is no longer the case! You will have all the elbow room you need, whether for large sites, or a herd of minisites!
Control – A small word for such a large concept, especially when it comes to your web hosting account. The freedom to install and run practically any script or software on your sites is a luxury many who opt for shared hosting will never know. Control also means being able to fashion the server loads, and keep your sites loading fast!
Would You Like Managed or Unmanaged? – If you haven’t the technical skill or staff, or even the time or desire, you can opt for fully managed dedicated server web hosting. Most clients take this option. However, if you really like to control and get your hands dirty, you can run the show completely from your end.
Hey Fella Wanna Buy Some Hosting? - You are also free to resell your web space to other, paying customers. This can help control costs, and allow you to get the most from your investment. You can take on as many or as few hosting customers as your space and desire dictate; just remember to protect your own sites.
An Enhanced Level Of Service – Becoming a dedicated server client affords you a whole new level of service. You will likely have an account manager of your own, and they will ensure that things are running as smoothly as possible. Your support calls will not go unanswered for days!
Security – Having your own dedicated server plan enhances your site security in several ways. First and foremost is the fact that you’ll no longer be sharing an IP address with hundreds of other cowboys, who can bring havoc to your ranch with surprisingly little effort! Also, there is a far smaller chance that any server exploits can come along when you are in control of who and what is running on your server space.
All in all having a dedicated server web hosting plan can take your business places it’s never been before, and is at the end of the day, a surprisingly cost-effective way to host your sites!

Domain Name Web Hosting – What You Need To Know
....................................pradip host..............................
When domain name web hosting is mentioned, a couple of things come to mind. First, a place to host your new site, and second, it can be a place to park your domain names that you haven’t been able to build out yet. Let’s take a quick look at both scenarios, and the necessaries you need to know to make domain name web hosting a good and profitable experience for you.
Parking Domains – Let’s do this one first, as it is simpler and easier to understand. Parking domain names you own but haven’t yet built out into full-fledged sites is a thriving business all its own. Many people make livings buying domain names that have value, and then later reselling them for large profits. In the meantime, they do what is known as domain parking, where their domain resides on a page hosted by a domain parking service, usually with a For Sale sign on it, and a bunch of ads. The owner gets a share of these ad revenues, so their site is making money even before it is sold. A leading domain parking site is called Sedo.com.
Don’t Buy Domains and Hosting Together – No matter how much they try and bribe you! There is a very good reason not to do this, and it lies in the relationship you and the hosting company have together. If at some point down the road, your hosting needs may change, or the host is falling below expectations and failing to deliver, you will want to seek greener pastures. This can be problematic if your host is also your domain registrar. You may even not be able to move, as there is often something in your fine print that makes this impossible. Avoid problems like this: buy them separately!
Length Of Hosting Terms – If at all possible, and you intend to hang onto this domain for a while, buy several years of registration at once. Google and the other search engines look upon this as a sign of stability, and it can help you in your rankings.
Private or Not Private? – Opting for private domain registration is up to you. The case for it includes being able to mask your personal and business details from prying eyes. If your domain is not private, your name, address, phone numbers and other personal details are there for anyone to see. Something to think about in this day and age of identity theft.
Pricing – While the going rate for a domain name registration is around $10 a year, it’s not uncommon to find domain registrars that will try and get up to 3-5 times that much. It’s simply not necessary, and on top of that, it is a competitive market out there for domain names, and you can usually always find a sale or a coupon.
Manage Your Own DNS – DNS stands for domain name server, and it is the actual address your site is directed to. You manage this at your domain registrar, and point your DNS to the hosting company servers you’ve contracted with.
Web hosting domain registration is an integral part of doing business online, and making sure you are not only in control but are making the best of your domains is a part of doing that business. Don’t neglect the details!

Should Managed Web Hosting Be a Part of Your Plan?
.............................prdpip................................................
Is there a scenario in which managed web hosting could be a major component of your hosting plans? That is a question many would do well to ponder. This assumes several things that must be in place before the question even becomes a question: are the needs of the site or sites large enough to warrant the expense, are there dedicated servers involved, and would managing these servers be something you or your staff could not or would not want to handle? Let’s look at some of the reasons why a webmaster might get web hosting with a managed plan.
Server Administration – Being solely responsible for managing a dedicated server is enough to give many system admins pause, particularly if it is a large site with much at stake. Opting for managed web hosting in cases like this makes a great deal of sense. The hosting company provides expert technical assistance ensuring that the servers are running at optimum efficiency, and are able to handle nearly anything that comes down the virtual pike. While it may seem very enticing to have the freedom that complete control of your server may provide, ultimately there is a trade-off, and you simply have to determine if it’s worth it to your company.
Site Monitoring – With a managed dedicated hosting plan, you will have the advantage of having your sites monitored 24/7 by a group of very savvy network technicians. They are constantly looking at the server, hardware, network and other systems to ensure they are delivering the type of performance you expect, with no downtime. If problems arise, they are dealt with then and there, often with the owner not even knowing there was an issue!
Server Security and Customer Service – One of the paramount reasons webmasters choose managed web hosting in the first place is the better security that is necessarily in place. You are paying for a premium service, and not only is security a high priority but likewise customer support is significantly enhanced. You normally have a dedicated account manager, who ensures that everything is running smoothly both on your site and your account. Compare that to experiences you may have had with shared hosting, and you may be reaching for your credit card already!
Guarantees – At this level of web hosting, there are performance guarantees and service level agreements in place. They deliver what you have contracted for, with seldom a quibble. And usually, there is little need to even look at the guarantee!
Choosing a web host at this level really comes down to a basic question: are you both capable and willing to handle the day to day business of running your dedicated server, and do you have the absolute need to control your server yourself? If the answer is no, then your choice is obvious. Managed web hosting will make your life easier, and very likely save you money in the long run from the benefits of having onsite network professionals keeping an eye on your server. Something to consider!

Is Domain Web Hosting with a .CO Extension Right For You?
..........................................host....................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,///
Recently, .CO domains became available to the general public for domain web hosting. They had been shopped to select major companies during “sunrise” and “landrush” phases for the months prior to opening to everyone, and a lot of the shorter, and most desirable names were quickly snapped up. Also, around 70% of the Fortune 500 brands were bought by the companies, including Nike, eBay, Coca-Cola, Apple and Amazon. Nevertheless, a good number remain, and very likely some that would work well for many marketers and site owners. The question now is, why would one want or need a .CO and how could it benefit you.
The form of .CO domain name came into being in 1999, when it was assigned as a country specific domain of Columbia. Fast forward to 2009, when the owner of the TLD, .CO Internet S.A.S. won the right to sell the extension globally and to the public when it was determined that .CO has a particularly good association in people’s minds with business and commerce, and the country of Colombia decided it would be wise to cash in on that popularity.
A major part of the appeal lies in several factors. The pool of available .com domain names is constantly shrinking, and there are already calls for a larger supply, or perhaps a different system altogether. Before that happens, however, expect the alphabet to be exhausted and the market to tighten even further.
The possibility of getting a short, memorable domain name is what is driving this excitement, along with the obvious associations. It can be a breath of fresh air to companies seeking to brand on a global scale using a more relevant, shorter name.
There have already been some very large sales of the prime .CO domain names. Overstock, one of the leading online retailers, spent a whopping $350,000 for Overstock.CO and E.CO went for some $81,000.
They are not the only people shelling out money for these. A common garden variety .CO domain will run about $30, roughly three times what you would pay for a .COM.
There is already a domain name aftermarket for .CO domains, as well, with prices ranging from $250 to $1,521,200 for London-2012.CO. (What a steal!)
The question for a site owner or webmaster is: Would this domain extension, if I was able to secure it with a good turn of phrase, be any more beneficial than a straight .com, .net, or .org? It may well be best suited to companies that are already well-branded, and seeking to expand their borders, or highly targeted niche marketing sites where having the keywords in the domain might make a large difference. For the rest of us seeking the best domain web hosting we can find, we’ll just have to see how it plays out!

Discount Web Hosting – What You Get For Less Money
...........................pradip,.........................................................
Everyone is looking to save money these days, and it would only make sense that there would be a booming market for discount web hosting. Who wants or needs to pay more than is absolutely necessary for a simple web hosting account? Well, I’m here to offer an alternative opinion to consider. Let’s take a quick look at what you very often get with inexpensive web hosting accounts.
For the sake of this illustration, discount web hosting will be taken as $5 and less per month. While there is some quality web hosting available at that price point, the features and benefits of an account like that is severely limited. We also aren’t looking at free web hosting, as that is not a serious consideration for anyone starting a serious site.
• Discount web hosting invariably is conducted on shared web hosting. This means that your site is residing with hundreds of other sites on the same server. Many times you have no idea what types of sites you’re sharing an IP address with, and this can bite you in the behind. Another site on your IP runs afoul of Google and all of a sudden all the sites on that IP have problems from residing in what is now a “bad neighborhood”.
• One site on your shared server can become very popular and hog the available bandwidth, effectively slowing your site to a crawl.
• Space and bandwidth are very limited, giving you little or no room to expand or sometimes even get busy! The space and data transfer allotments are truly laughable on some of the cheap web hosting accounts.
• Having hundreds of sites on your server leads to inevitable slow load times for your site. This is fast becoming a ranking factor, at least within Google, and the last thing you need is people clicking off your site because it’s taking 30 seconds to a minute to load!
• Serious uptime issues plague many discount web hosting plans. If you are attempting to do this as a business, having your site available for anything less than 99.9% is unacceptable, and because of the resources that are allocated to this level of web hosting cost, sometimes stuff happens!
• Server security is dicey at this level of service, as many times the resources, updates and patches aren’t taken quite as seriously. Email spamming is more frequent, and server attacks not unheard of.
• Your support usually is minimal, at best. Phone support will be hard to come by, and since the person answering your call or email is being paid probably three times the fee you’re paying monthly per hour, you can see why hosts can’t afford sterling support at this price point.
Discount web hosting, for the few dollars a month you can save, is hardly worth the risk you are taking with your site and perhaps your customers. Think long and hard before going with a plan like these!

The Best Web Hosting Service Might Be A Dedicated Host!
..............................pradeep..............................................
For anyone who is truly trying to find the best web hosting service they can for their new site or blog, you might be well served to look into the advantages of hosting on a dedicated server. A dedicated host can give you so many short term as well as long term benefits that it sometimes makes one wonder why one would choose anything else. Let’s take a peek at them, and perhaps shed some light on whether a dedicated hosting plan may be the best bet for you!
The first and always the loudest objection is the considerable price difference between a dedicated hosting plan and perhaps a shared plan. The first can run into the hundreds a month, whereas the latter will probably set you back less than $10. So why would anyone in their right mind opt for this?
First, maybe you shouldn’t! If your aim is to host a small, personal site and you have little or no aspirations to grow your site beyond a basic blog or family site, then you will probably be as happy as a clam with the cheapest web hosting you can find, provided it has enough space for all those accolades and pictures of your cat!
If, on the other hand, your aim is to not only build a small business site, but grow it as large as you can, then it might make sense to look into a dedicated box.
Some of the more profound advantages of a dedicated plan include the most basic one, that of not having to share your server with any other customers. It is yours alone, and you are not subject to the possible problems that hosting with others on your server can bring, such as bandwidth shortages, spam attacks, and the very real possibility that someone could get a poor reputation with Google, and get the entire IP address blacklisted, which of course does no one any good. Getting your site back in good graces after being under that type of cloud is nearly impossible, and at the very least will cost you a lot of time and money.
Another distinct plus is that when you are the boss of the server, you can run whatever scripts or software you like, within reason. As long as you can install and maintain, or in the case of a managed plan, your web hosting company can; you can pretty much do as you will.
Some other benefits are increased levels of customer support, much faster site loading times, almost never any downtime, and state of the art hardware and software to run your site on.
While the price can and probably should be a consideration when choosing the best web hosting service for you, also do a bit of forward thinking to set yourself and your business up as well as possible for the future!
